The real run of this version: It's Monday. Do the Monday work described in CLAUDE.md, using the OPERA export in data/opera.

Insights: week of 2027-10-18

  1. Demand is up on last week. The next 7 nights average 66.6% against 57.3% last week. Every night this week beats every night last week, except Monday (60.4%), which sits just under last Friday (61.0%).

  2. Tuesday is the strongest weekday. 2027-10-19 is at 66.0% with 421 rooms left. It is the best night to hold rate.

  3. Sunday needs a check before anyone acts on it. 2027-10-24 shows 85.0%, far above the rest of the week, but the export has no availability row for that night. Confirm the number in OPERA before pricing it.

  4. A large tentative group looks dead. BLOCK-020 holds 401 rooms from 2027-10-23 to 2027-10-28, with 0 rooms picked up. Both of its events (Sat and Sun, 40 and 79 attendees) are marked cancelled. The block does not deduct inventory, so it does not hide rooms today, but it overstates the forecast. Ask sales to confirm and close it.

  5. The weekend is soft. Fri and Sat sit at 63.6% and 62.7% with about 450 rooms each still open. With the group's events cancelled, there is no group support for Saturday.

What is missing

No previous report exists in outputs/, so "what changed" compares against last week's actual nights, not against last Monday's forecast. No booking pace data, so pickup since last week is unknown.

Next 7 nights

Night Day Occupancy Rooms sold Rooms available
2027-10-18 Mon 60.4% 748 490
2027-10-19 Tue 66.0% 817 421
2027-10-20 Wed 64.8% 802 436
2027-10-21 Thu 63.4% 785 453
2027-10-22 Fri 63.6% 787 451
2027-10-23 Sat 62.7% 777 461
2027-10-24 Sun 85.0% 1,052 (implied) not in export (186 implied)

Week average: 66.6% (63.5% without Sunday). Last week (2027-10-11 to 2027-10-17) average: 57.3%.

Rooms sold = occupancy x 1,238. For the six nights with an availability row, rooms sold plus rooms available equals 1,238 exactly, so the two sources agree.

Data notes

  • Sunday 2027-10-24 has occupancy but no availability row. Its 85.0% is the top of the scaled range in the export, so treat it as "highest night of the window", not as an exact number.
  • Occupancy in this export is scaled (rank-preserving map to 55%-85%). Ranks between nights are reliable; exact percentages are not.
  • The reservation list is a sample (50 of 1,000) and the booking pace section is empty, so no pickup or ADR figures are in this report.
